One week ago we attended The Business Show at the London ExCel on the 24th and 25th of November.
For over 25 years The Business Show events have connected thousands of savvy business owners and budding entrepreneurs, sharing a wealth of knowledge, skills and advice in the heart of London.
This year’s show was all about getting Britain back to business and that was reflected throughout the 2 days. The Business Show had over 500 exhibitors, 25000 visitors and had incredible speakers like @loveisland star and founder of @swimsociety, @montanarosebrown1, current dragon on @bbc’s Dragons’ Den, @touker_suleyman, BBC @apprenticeuk interviewer, @lindaplant_official from Linda Plant Academy and so many more!
We created the Young Entrepreneurs of England in 2020 with a simple vision: to empower young business owners to pursue their goals, come together to form a like-minded community and give them a platform to have their products and services seen on an international level.
Our mission at the show this year was to chat to as many entrepreneurs as we could, getting to know them and their businesses a little better.
Meet Matt Ville, one of the Founders of Hiyield
HiYield are a digital product studio that creates bespoke web apps, digital platforms and websites that our clients and end users love. HiYield collaborate, push the boundaries of what’s possible and have a team that loves what they do.
When asked about what makes HiYield different from the rest, Matt says, “There are a lot of technology agencies and design agencies, and they’re both very good at what they do. But, you get design agencies who can’t tackle complex technical problems and you get technology agencies who can do complex technology but make a product that’s useable, so [HiYield] is sat in the middle, where we can do the technology, but also the design.”

Meet Angela De Souza, Founder of Women’s Business Club
Women’s Business Club supports women through mentoring, training and run a virtual conference and awards ceremony where anyone can tap into from anywhere in the world.
We connected well with Angela, as Women’s Business Club believes in supporting the next generation, for every person that signs up to their membership, they support a young person in education, helping them as they step into the working world, providing guidance, resources, and mentorship.
When asked about what advice she would give to a young entrepreneur, Angela says, “Just do it. Even though it’s scary and most people don’t make it, because when it gets scary they hold back, the people who are successful aren’t the most wealthy, or the most clever, they are the ones who just do it.”
Meet Amber Barry, Founder of Network Like You Mean It
Network Like You Mean It Diary and Planner is the ultimate tool to help you up-level your networking and become the best networker in the room. “Network Like You Mean It is created and designed for the dreamers, the believers and the achievers to help them reach their full business potential”
“Everyone’s networking journey is different, but we know when you get into the habit of using this diary and planner daily, it will change your life. It will bring structure, routine and results. You’ll achieve your goals and grow your network the right way, the Network Like You Mean It way.”
When asked what piece of advice she would give to other young entrepreneurs, Amber says, “Keep going. Remind yourself everyday why you are doing it and don’t be scared to fail because fail means First Attempt In Learning.”

We know that young people are more entrepreneurial than ever before.
More and more young people are wanting to start and grow their own businesses. We as a society should be doing all we can to ensure that hidden potential is fully realised, and that any external factors – be it family network, experience and funds, do not stop them
